The application supports timecode synchronization from various platforms including Kollaborate, Final Cut Pro (versions 6/7 and X), Adobe Premiere Pro (both CS 6.0.2 for Mac and CC), Avid Media Composer/Symphony for Mac, as well as Adobe Audition and Pro Tools. Furthermore, it has the capability to sync with any application that supports MIDI timecode.

Note Keys

A single tap on a notekey allows users to add notes instantly at the current timecode position. Users can create notekey sets tailored for different tasks such as editing or mixing.

Manual Entry

Users can create custom notes at any moment using the text box located above the notekeys. Cut Notes will timestamp the note at the moment typing begins, eliminating the pressure to rush.

Cloud Integration

Cut Notes enables users to make notes on their Kollaborate videos and sync them instantly to the cloud. Users can synchronize timecode directly from their web browser and remotely control playback. This feature also promotes real-time viewing of comments from colleagues and participation in collaborative note-taking sessions.

Export Functionality

Notes created in Cut Notes can be exported to various editing applications including Final Cut Pro (versions 6/7 and X), Avid Media Composer, and Pro Tools (via the EdiMarker third-party application). Importing a Marker List into Final Cut Pro 7 or FCPX necessitates the use of the complimentary Cut Notes Marker Import utility for macOS.
